One
or more of the Company's three technology platforms allow Selective
Genetics to achieve higher gene transfer and expression at the
site of tissue repair than other forms of gene transfer:
1. Physical
gene targeting, particularly in tissue repair and regeneration
sites, is achieved through the use of gene activated matrices;
2. Specific, high-affinity gene targeting at a molecular level
is achieved via fibroblast growth factor ligands;
3. Mechanical targeting is achieved through DNA-containing
coatings on medical devices
